Testing a 30 years old lens

Digging through some old photo gear of my father’s, I found this 28mm, f/2 lens from Vivitar. Probably from the very early 80s. Though I didn’t get the aperture to work, I like the dreamy quality of it.

Ink and Koh-I-Noor watercolour pencils on 300g/m² Hahnemühle paper

Aconitum Napellus, aka. “Monk’s hood”.

One of Europe‘s most poisonous plants.

All parts of the plant are able to kill you, a few grams are enough. Touching it can already lead to reactions. Fatal dosage of the agent is 4mg. There is no antidote. Keep away from your kids!

It was formerly used to poison arrows, for assassinations, and as wolf poison, and was reportedly an ingredient for witches anoint.

The pumpkin flower has such an interesting shape that I could not resist but practice my dot hatching on it.
