Audio gear

Frank loves music, listening to it as well as making it. Preferably Jazz, Blues, Fusion, 70s Progressive Rock, Psychedelic, Lounge, but also electronic music like deep or progressive house, techno, ambient, or Drum’n’Bass. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass and synthesizers, and also uses samplers and drum machines.

His experience in electronic music, goes back to 1991 or 1992. At that time he started some techno experiments with the famous tracker ModEdit 2.0 and the sound editor BlasterMaster on MS-DOS. Around 1996, he used Steinberg Cubasis and Buzz Machines on Windows.

Nowadays, Frank is a happy user of Reason Studios since many years, which he uses mainly for recording, editing, and mixing. For live sets and jam sessions, his first choice is Ableton Live.
