Painting of a dancing dervish. Christmas present for a close friend. Schmincke Horadam watercolour (mostly quinacridone gold and cobalt turquoise, with some burnt ocre, and salt) on 300g/m² Hahnemühle paper.
While spending some lonely sick days at home, I practiced painting trees. The biggest challenge for me was to work without a sketch, give up control, and let the paint and brushes do the work. Colorised with Schmincke Horadam watercolours.
